Bright Future for the Corvette?

Fritz Henderson, CEO of General Motors, recently spoke out regarding the positive future that lies ahead for Corvette sales.

Despite the hold on production for the C7 Corvette, there are still avenues for triumph in the Corvette realm. The current beautiful C6 Corvette is a huge plus for the company. General Motors has aimed to put their complete effort into changing the C6 platform as many times in order for the vehicle to “maintain its leadership position”. No plans for future C6 Corvette improvements have been voiced… yet.

What do you think? Staying stagnant on the C6 – good move or bad move? I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Corvette Safe in GM Restructuring, CEO Confirms

n2a Motors Diversified Portfolio

Founded only 5 years ago, n2a Motors artistically modifies Corvette models into even hotter, sportier rides. Their motto declares that they recreate “no two [Corvettes] alike” for each of their customers.

To date, the company has transformed the original C6 Corvette chassis into three unique Corvette models: 789, Anteros and the Stinger.

The Stinger alone, which is n2a’s latest model, takes a great deal of work and time to rebuild. Just the process of installing the Stinger’s new carbon-composite body takes over 800 hours! The interior of the vehicle is not ignored either, as it is completely restored with wool and leather features.

The Stinger incorporates the close bodystyle replicas of both the ZR1 and Z06.

  • The ZR1-based Stinger comes with a 638 horsepower LS9 engine. This engine allows the vehicle to climb to top speeds of 205+ and reach 0 to 60 seconds in 3.4 seconds. Serial numbers 001-003 are reserved for this vehicle.

  • The Z06-based Stinger is equipped with a 505 horsepower engine which allows it to travel from 0 to 60 in 3.7 seconds. Not too shabby. Serial numbers 004-010 stand reserved for this model.

n2a Motors will only continue to succeed as they expand and diversify their already successful Corvette portfolio. Look for the Stinger to hit production lines October 1st.
