The 2020 Corvette Owner’s Manual includes a section titled “Track Events and Competitive Driving (Z51 Only)” that provides specific information about preparing your car for track and competitive driving events. While the information in the Owner’s Manual is straight forward, I picked up some additional advice during the C8 Corvette Track Prep session at Spring Mountain Motor Resort’s 8th Generation Corvette Owner’s School.
The miles are low, but the number of other Corvettes in this color is even lower for this 1994 Corvette coupe up for sale on craigslist.com in Seattle, Washington.
The car was kept on display and in storage for most of its life in Illinois, where it was recently sold as part of an estate sale after the original owner passed away.

Corvette Product Manager Harlan Charles has been driving a 2020 Corvette Convertible as his Captured Test Fleet (CTF) car and he recently stopped into Pasteiner’s Auto Zone in Birmingham, MI. For those that may not know, Pasteiner’s is an automotive book and hobby store in suburban Detroit so it’s no surprise to see Harlan stopping in.

A couple days ago we started hearing about a YouTuber with a 2020 Corvette Stingray whose engine had suddenly seized up. General Motors has also heard about it and is stepping up to find out more information about the cause of it. Considering the implications, we dove in to find out more about what happened as well as what GM is doing about it.
DETROIT (June 30, 2020) – Following a long layoff due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Corvette Racing makes its return to competition this weekend at the same place the 2020 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship began. Daytona International Raceway is the site of Saturday’s WeatherTech 240 and Corvette Racing’s second IMSA event this season.

Sixty-seven years ago today, the first Corvette rolled off a temporary assembly line in Flint, Michigan and an American Legend was born. Looking at this picture, it’s amazing to see how much the model has progressed over the years. We think that Harley J. Earl and Zora Arkus-Duntov would be very proud of Corvette’s long-lasting legacy and its imprint on the American car culture.

It is difficult to remember a car that inspired as much hysteria from the automotive press and enthusiasts as the eighth-generation Corvette (that’s what 50+ years of build-up for a mid-engine layout will do for you).
If pressed to come up with a similarly hyped vehicle, we’d have to point to 2015, when the Dodge Challenger joined the horsepower wars in spectacular fashion.

The 2020 Mid-Engine Corvette has received accolades as a “Game Changer,” “Grand Slam Home Run,” and “Mid-Engine Masterpiece” from numerous media outlets since the Next Generation Corvette Reveal last July. I was fortunate enough to have reserved a place on National Corvette Salesman Mike Furman’s C8 order list several years ago, so I’ve had my 2020 Z51 Corvette Stingray since March 11 when I picked it up at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

A trip to Corvettes at Carlisle a dozen years ago planted the seed for the recent donation of an immaculate 1996 Grand Sport to the National Corvette Museum.
Long-time Corvette enthusiasts Larry and Carol Watkins had taken their Admiral Blue (with white stripe and red hash marks) ’96 to the Carlisle show in 2008, where two young guys talked to them about the car.
