Corvette racecar driver Danny Kellermeyer (D.J. Racing Enterprise), whom we at George Matick Chevrolet are sponsoring this year for an exciting race season (update to come here), is on the road at the Michigan International Auto Show in Grand Rapids, helping to host a display sponsored by D.J. Race, Matick and  the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Western Michigan Region.

Here are  Kellermeyer’s insights, from Grand Rapids:

“The show is up and running (see photo above) and will continue through Sunday (Feb. 3). Our display is in one of the best locations, as it is directly across from the GM Display and next to the doors leading into the Million Dollar Gallery. Our new silver Corvette and the pit wagon proudly showcase the Matick logos.

Race fans will want to know that the Western Michigan Region is now promoting the first race of the Majors Tour, which is new for 2013. The first race will run May 25-26 at the Michigan International Speedway in Jackson, MI.  

Like most of the NASCAR  tracks, MIS has had a road course but has not used it since 1994. After repaving the infield portion of the track, MIS is getting ready for the May event. The new Majors Tour should be exciting.”
