It was only back in July that we got our hands on the dealer prices for the 2015 Corvette Stingray and those prices showed the base Non-Z51 Coupe starting at $53,000 while the base Non-Z51 Convertible started at $58,000. Now this may be old news to some, but we learned today that in early August Chevrolet quietly raised the MSRP of the 2015 Corvette Stingray’s four models by $1,000.

So now in the never-ending effort to make rich people more at ease comes the announcement from General Motors that the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette is available with a camera-equipped Performance Data Recorder that lets owners slip the car into Valet Mode to record any unauthorized joyrides or parking mishaps that may occur while their vehicle is out of their hands and in the control of teenagers who think taking a $55,000 sports car for a few runs around the block while the owner isn’t looking is the reason they became parking valets in the first place.
