[RECALL] 2014 Corvette Stingray Recall Notice Issued in the Middle East over Airbag Placement
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce in Qatar has issued a recall in the Middle East for the 2014 Corvette Stingray to modify the airbags position. Specifically, the recall is supposed to address the airbag’s position to fit kids who are not using a seatbelt. The Ministry is working with the sole-importer of Corvettes in the region, Jaidah Automotive, to make sure they have the maintenance and repair process necessary to fix this so-called “defect”.

General Motors released the July 2015 sales report and despite the model year changeover that occurred in June, Chevrolet managed to sell 2,794 Corvettes during the month. This is an -8.7% decline in sales over the same time last year with 3,060 Corvettes delivered during July 2014. Ministry recalls Chevrolet Corvette 2014 to modify airbags position
DOHA: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce , in collaboration with Chevrolet’s sole distributor in Qatar, Jaidah Automotive, has announced the recall of Chevrolet Corvette 2014 to modify airbags position to fit kids in case of not using seat belt. This recall comes within the framework of the ongoing coordination and follow-up by the ministry to ascertain the dealers’ commitment to follow up defects and repair them to protect consumers’ rights.
