At one point in its life, this 1959 Chevrolet Corvette was sold for $800. Two men each split the cost to acquire this car back in 1974, but now it’s destined to cross an auction block in Arizona for a far greater figure.
[PICS] MCACN 2015 – 1965 Big Tank Corvette Barn Find Restored
One of our favorite Corvettes from last month’s Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals was a fabulous 1965 365 hp black on black 1965 big tank coupe. You may not recognize it now, but it’s the same black on black big tank car we first brought you last summer from Bloomington Gold. Back then the car was shown in all of its unrestored glory. Years of rust, dirt, and grime covered every inch of the car.

1969 L88 Corvette to be Offered at Barrett-Jackson’s 2016 Scottsdale Auction
A few L88 Corvettes have surfaced around the country in the past few months, but it would be hard to beat this well-documented 1969 example that will be auctioned off during Barrett-Jackson’s 45th Scottsdale auction to be held Jan. 23-31. Starting in February 2012, restoration expert Roger Gibson spent 5,100 hours over the next 19 months to bring this historically important Corvette, one of just 116 examples made in 1969, back to the condition when

Barn Find: 1961 Corvette from the Edmonton Hard Rock Cafe
Photo Credit: Hot Rod Corvettes seem to have a way of hanging around forever – but not always. Patrons of the Hard Rock Café in West Edmonton Mall in Alberta, Canada back in the mid-1990s saw a red-with-white-coves 1961 Corvette hanging on the wall as a decoration. Though the engine and transmission had been removed, the body, rear end, front suspension, and frame were still there, as well as Cragar SS wheels, tires, bumper, windshield,

Ron Fellows and Chevrolet Canada Give an Ontario Man with ALS a Day to Remember
Photo Credit: DrivenWheels.com With this being the Christmas season, it’s a great time to do a good deed and brighten someone’s day. Take, for example, the plight of a 48-year-old man named Scott McKenzie, who has been diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). His dream had always been to buy a Corvette when he retired, but now that he’s facing just a short time to live because of the ALS, his family decided to see

The Annual Corvette Enthusiast’s Twas the Night Before Christmas 2015
Ever since we celebrated our first Christmas with our blog in 2005, we’ve posted a special Corvette version of Twas the Night Before Christmas. Over the last few years, our friend Rick Tavel from Corvetted.com has taken the poem one step further by customizing it so that it references the major Corvette-related events that occurred throughout the year. Unfortunately, Rick has been very sick the last few months and has had to take time away

[ACCIDENT] High Winds Bring a Tree Down on a C5 Corvette
Photo Credit: oregonlive.com A “compact” Corvette, in this case. High winds blasted western Washington County, Ore., on Monday, with the National Weather Service reporting a top gust of 55 mph at 12:45 p.m. in northwest Forest Grove. That’s where this C5 Corvette had the misfortune of being parked on Valley Crest Way when the storm struck. The huge tree that fell in the front yard basically crushed the entire car, turning it into a rolling
