Here’s a pretty cool video from WKYC in Cleveland featuring Corvette Exterior Design Manager Kirk Bennion and a 2020 Corvette Stingray with the High Wing.
Bennion is a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art and he recently returned “home” with the new mid-mid-engine Corvette so that he could show it off to the current students interested in automotive design.

It’s the amazing car show with the long name. “Ma-kack-en”, as the cool kids call it, takes place each year in Chicago on the weekend prior to Thanksgiving. More formally it’s the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals (MCACN) and it’s without a doubt one of the top car shows in the country.

Inside General Motors’ headquarters known as the Renaissance Center in downtown Detroit is a large turntable that is currently featuring all eight generations of the Chevrolet Corvette. The new eighth-generation iteration of America’s Favorite Sports Car is a 2020 Corvette Stingray Convertible painted in Shadow Gray Metallic.

We recently caught wind of a wild C8 widebody render posted to Instagram by Karan Adivi. It is so well done that we wanted to share it with Corvette Nation and point out some of the better design elements.
The first thing that jumps out at you is the Ferrari FXX-K-esque split rear wing(s).

The first C8s for customers haven’t even been built yet, but the rumors are flowing about even higher-performance models of the mid-engine Corvette.
Now comes apparent confirmation that the top-of-the-line ZR1 model will become the first all-wheel-drive Corvette ever, featuring a hybrid system to increase performance.

This week we will be ranking on one of, if not the most, challenging decade of ‘Vette production, one that includes the entire run of what is arguably the Corvette’s best generation along with some of the better versions of two other generations.

Happy Monday Corvette fans! Hopefully, you had a great weekend and you’re ready to attack this short work week. We spent last weekend in Chicago at the annual Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals (MCACN) show. If you’ve never been you really need to get this event on your to-do list.
While Corvettes are a small portion of this incredible show, we still had plenty of C2 Corvettes to check out while there.
