Here’s something you don’t see every day! Well, at least not yet anyway. But soon!
Sabastian Pietrzyk was cruising by Corvette assembly plant in his Black C7 Corvette Stingray when he came across a Black C8 Corvette in the parking lot. So like any good Corvette enthusiast, he stopped to take a bunch of comparison photos showing the two Black Vettes together and then shared them on the C8 Corvette Owners Page on Facebook.

Jan Magnussen and Mike Rockenfeller will make a surprise return to Corvette Racing for the one-off WEC race later this month at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, TX. Although the team has yet to confirm the drivers, their names showed up on the latest version of the entry list for the Lone Star Le Mans which takes place on February 23rd.
With breaking news about the first customer 2020 Corvettes rolling off the assembly line at Bowling Green yesterday, it’s appropriate that another early production model, albeit from a different era, is currently up for sale on craigslist in the Denver, Colorado area.
This 1966 convertible is described as an early “pilot car” from that model year, and with its extremely low VIN of #006, it’s “a definite piece of history,” according to the seller.

Hopefully you all have recovered from last night’s Super Bowl that started slow but ended with a bang. No new Corvette for the MVP this year, so this game will quickly be forgotten in all the hubbub of the new C8s starting production this week.

Zora’s dream of bringing a mid-engine Corvette to market has finally been fulfilled!
Chevrolet is celebrating the Start of Regular Production (SORP) of the 2020 Corvette Stingray today and they shared this photo of a Black mid-engine Coupe on the Corvette assembly line in Bowling Green, KY.

Carl Whitlow was there for the very beginning days of the Corvette, so it’s only fitting that after his death last year, his wife Sharyon completed the circle by donating their beloved 1990 Indy 500 Festival Corvette to the National Corvette Museum.

Our friend Adam was back in the air on Sunday and as his flight plan took him over the Corvette Assembly Plant in Bowling Green, he squeezed off a few photos and sent them our way.
These new aerial photos show a lot of activity at the assembly plant!
The last C7 ever produced – a black Z06 coupe – sold at auction last summer to a collector named Daniel Snyder for a cool $2.7 million.
The first customer C8 to be built, hopefully sometime this week, just went for $3 million to enthusiast/dealer Rick Hendrick.
Big bucks, for sure.

Following Jeremy Welborn’s insightful post last week on Customer Ordered 2020 Corvette Production Starting, a reader left a comment about stopping by the Corvette Assembly Plant and seeing twenty-five C8 Corvettes in the parking lot. Thanks to Jeremy’s follow-up, Jay sent us some of his favorites that he took and gave us permission to share.
Each week, Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvette Stingrays, Grand Sports, Z06s and ZR1s to his customers who come from all parts of the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.
Even though the C8 Corvettes will be here shortly, Mike is still serving up the final C7 Corvettes and is even planning to host one more C7 class at Spring Mountain.
