One of our favorite YouTubers is back with a legitimate track video featuring his 2020 Corvette Z51 Coupe at an open track date at Willow Springs. Speed Phenom may be younger than you or I but he sure does know how to drive on the track! The Corvettes 495-hp LT2 V8 sounds fierce at full throttle and with the windows down you can enjoy that exhaust note for well over 10 minutes of track action.
While it may be 60 years old, this 1961 Corvette still looks like a blast to drive, based on watching the large number of videos posted on bringatrailer.com.
With three days to go, the bids have already reached the $61,000 mark.
This Corvette doesn’t have the original motor, but it does have a nicely running 327 V8 with a single carburetor.

Add veteran racer Paul Costas to the ever-growing list of drivers enthralled with the new mid-engine Corvette.
The two-time NASA Nationals Champion recently enjoyed some spirited sessions pushing GSpeed’s new 2020 Stingray around the track and found none of the complaints some have posted on the Web about understeer and the brake by wire system, for example.
The Federal Government is set to send US taxpayers checks of up to $1,200 for adults and $2,400 for couples, plus $500 per child as a part of their $2 Trillion Coronavirus economic relief package. Now, obviously, these are serious times and these checks are meant to keep out of work Americans afloat while they are social distancing to help alleviate the spread of COVID-19 but the payout is also meant to stimulate the struggling economy by getting some much-needed spending money into the hands of the citizens of this great nation.

If you wanna race your Corvette, go to the track.
A 20-year-old Albuquerque, N.M., man learned that lesson the hard way recently when he was spotted by an Albuquerque Police Department officer racing down I-25 about twice the speed limit.
Now others can learn this lesson, too, without the likely very expensive and inconvenient consequences, by watching this video of the ensuing traffic stop as recorded by Officer Golson’s body cam.

What should have been the first of many weekends enjoying ownership of a new 2020 Corvette suddenly came to an abrupt end for “June Bug” and his new Stingray on Saturday. A black sedan apparently ran a traffic light at the intersection of North Tamiami Trail and Imperial drive in Sarasota, Florida, and was subsequently T-boned by the new Corvette.

Our friend Michael Brown, who is known in Corvette circles for the documentary on the 1960 Cunningham Corvette that won Le Mans in “The Quest”, has recently picked up his 2020 Corvette Stingray and the filmmaker recreated this iconic scene from one of his videos that came in 2011. Michael shared the photo with the Simply Corvettes Facebook Group and he made sure to send one our way as well.
