We aren’t sure if the unprecedented external factors are the culprit or if it is pure coincidence but anyone thinking about adding a 1996 Grand Sport to their garage is spoilt for choice right now. Across the many online automotive marketplaces that we check daily, there are as many as 20 examples of the C4 Corvette’s swansong available.

Corvette Chief Engineer Tadge Juechter has been locked down like the rest of us during the Coronavirus pandemic and frankly, we’ve missed hearing from him and other members of the team. With the NCM Bash and other events moved or canceled, it’s been a little while since we’ve heard from Tadge so we are very glad for this opportunity.

We’ve all want to get the Corvette assembly line moving again but as it has been stated, you don’t just flip the switch and start where you left off. The good news is that everything looks to be firming up for the Corvette factory to restart shortly and we now have the date.
We got a few pics in this evening from national Corvette seller Mike Furman of Criswell Chevrolet. Mike says this is the dealership’s last brand new C7 Corvette in stock – a 2019 Corvette Grand Sport in Arctic White. When this car leaves the dealership, it will close the chapter on the C7 Corvette generation.
Due to social distancing guidelines set up by the state of Kentucky, the National Corvette Museum announced today that the annual NCM Bash will be presented May 28-29th as a virtual-only event. Registrants will have access to a number of seminars and presentations as well as access to other events presented online.

“If at first you don’t succeed” seems to be the motto of the persistent thief that seems to have hit a car dealership twice in Vicksburg, Mississippi.
Vicksburg Police had answered a call back in mid-April after someone tried unsuccessfully to steal a white 1980 Corvette from the backlot of George Carr Buick-Cadillac-GMC.

A fellow named Larry ordered a new 1976 Corvette some 44 years ago – a dark red four-speed manual that finally arrived after six months of antagonizing wait because, he says, only automatics were being shipped.
When General Motors shuttered their factories in mid-March to deal with the Coronavirus, one plant in North America stayed operational as a skeleton crew of volunteer workers continued to make the aluminum chassis parts for the 2020 Corvette.
Those critical chassis parts are made at the GM facility in Bedford, Indiana.

The Z51 Coupe faces off against the Hellcat Charger in both a race from a dig and a roll race at 40 mph.
