It’s been a long time coming, but today we received confirmation that the first 2020 Corvette Convertibles have started production. The plant has been building convertibles for the Captured Test Fleet for the last few months so it’s not anything new to the production team, but it is great news for buyers who have been patiently waiting for this day to come.

We’ve been featuring various videos from the JMC Rides YouTube channel as John has a great knack of keeping us entertained with his various C8 Corvette adventures. In this latest video, his 2020 Corvette is going up against a Dodge Demon with at least 808 hp, although that horsepower number is suspect based on the car’s mods.

The COVID shutdowns have forced a lot of rescheduling for racing across the country including one of our favorites, the Indianapolis 500. I was thinking for sure that would be the venue where we would see our first C8 Corvette in pace car livery, but after the “greatest spectacle in racing” moved their dates to August 23rd, we were unsure when a Corvette Pace Car might be debuted.
