Five Visible Features on the Corvette C8.R We Want to See on the C8 Corvette Z06

Chevrolet shocked everyone at the C8 Convertible reveal Wednesday night by bringing out the all-new C8.R for a surprise sneak peek.

No details were given but several neat features were out in plain sight. We are hoping to see some of these upgrades trickle down from the racing version to future road-legal models.

Introduced under the stars and surrounded by the legacy of America’s space program, the 2020 Corvette Stingray Convertible and the Corvette Racing C8.R were introduced to the world.

In our opinion, there’s no better place to “launch” a new Corvette than the Kennedy Space Center on Central Florida’s East Coast.

That’s where we’ll be Wednesday evening as the next-generation 2020 Corvette Stingray Convertible drops its top for the first time in public.

The press event tonight begins at 7:30 pm ET and is expected to run 45 minutes.

Having some fun with the 2020 Corvette Stingray, the guys over at @CarLifestyle on Instagram created this image of a Torch Red Z51 Coupe catching some air on a dirt road.

It certainly caught my attention when it popped up in my feed today and it probably gave the members of the Corvette Team a bit of panic before realizing its a photoshop.

It wasn’t until the third generation and specifically the 1969 model year that a Corvette Coupe would outsell the Convertible models, and they would do so until the Convertible’s demise in 1975.
