With the reveal of the Corvette C8.R, Chevrolet shared a video showing the evolution from a prototype racer in camo to the Silver/Yellow livery of the No. 4 C8.R that was unveiled Wednesday.
In that new video was a slider featuring an updated design of the Jake mascot.
The Jake logo first made its appearance on a Corvette race car by appearing on the b-pillars of the C6.R at the 2005 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The Corvette C8.R nearly stole the show during the official reveal of the 2020 Corvette Stingray Convertible. If anything, those in attendance will recall just how wickedly loud this new racer is.
A little bit later in the evening, Corvette Racing’s Tommy Milner started up the C8.R and revved its mystery engine.

We’ve heard of getting comfortable behind the wheel of your car, but a Texas man may have carried things a little too far this week.
Police in Wichita Falls, Texas arrested the driver of a 1999 Corvette late Tuesday after he crashed his car while allegedly racing on Southwest Parkway just before midnight.

The 2020 Corvette Stingray Reveal was a pretty cool event as car reveals go. Held on the evening of October 2nd in the Rocket Garden at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor’s Complex, we were reminded that of the Chevrolet commercial that America is still building rockets.
Introduced under the stars and surrounded by the legacy of America’s space program, the 2020 Corvette Stingray Convertible and the Corvette Racing C8.R were introduced to the world.
2020 Stingray convertible offers the same storage as coupe, even with the top down
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — Open-air driving has always been a part of the Chevrolet Corvette’s heritage. In fact, when the Corvette debuted in 1953, it was available only as a convertible. The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible builds off that heritage as the first hardtop and mid-engine convertible in Corvette history.

General Motors posted the 3rd Quarter sales results for 2019 and we see a positive number for Corvette sales as production of the C7 generation is nearly over.
For the months of July, August, and September, Chevrolet sold a total of 4,799 Corvettes. This is a 2.7% increase over the 4,639 Corvettes produced during 3rd quarter 2018.
