Is this some wishful thinking?
Having some fun with the 2020 Corvette Stingray, the guys over at @CarLifestyle on Instagram created this image of a Torch Red Z51 Coupe catching some air on a dirt road.
It certainly caught my attention when it popped up in my feed today and it probably gave the members of the Corvette Team a bit of panic before realizing its a photoshop.

Barrett-Jackson only holds four auctions annually so each time one comes up, it is a special occasion. The final sale of 2019 goes live on October, 3rd from the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Fabulous Las Vegas. There are going to be some stunning examples of America’s Sports Car up for grabs.
The inaugural year of Corvette production saw a specialized team of workers assemble what would become the rarest vintage of America’s Sports Car out of a temporary assembly line in Flint, Michigan.
With a total of 300 cars, all dressed in Polo White with red interiors and black cloth tops, a national obsession was born.

Here’s another staff member from Road & Track who shared a video of the 2020 Corvette Stingray on social media. This time its Jason Cammisa who has his camera pointed at the basic speedometer display as he goes 0-100 mph from a standing start. Because of the media embargo, he can’t share performance times or his driving impressions of the car.

The 2020 Corvette Stingray spent last week in the hands of the Road & Track editorial staff as the next-generation Corvette was one of the 11 contenders being tested for this year’s Performance Car of the Year Award. The judging is done and the winner will be announced in the November 2019 issue.
Over the years, we have covered Corvettes for sale that were barn finds, back-yard finds and even storage container finds. But I think this is the first “Rafter Find” that we’ve seen in our 14 years of covering Corvettes for sale here at CorvetteBlogger.

Hopefully you all had a great weekend! We are still plenty warm here in Florida with a high today expected at 92 degrees. But the weather is getting noticeably nicer now that Fall is officially here. There are still plenty of great events to get your Corvette out before winter arrives and I hope to take advantage of the cooler temps myself over the next couple of months.
Earlier we covered the overall numbers for C7 Corvette production. When you break the numbers down by model, new trends appear. The Supercharged Corvette Z06 debuted in 2015 and a total of 39,940 Z06s were built in the five-year run.
2016 was the peak year for Z06 production with 14,275 leaving the factory.
