General Motors has issued a recall of 22,090 Corvettes made between 2005-2007. At issue is the adhesive between the roof panel and the frame which may cause the panel to detach from the vehicle. Dubbed the FRC (Flying Roof Club) by Corvette owners, this is the second recall regarding the early C6 removable roofs. [More]

I came across a couple of videos of this C5 Corvette by Spanish Tuner Maro and I am really intrigued by several of the features. The first video shows the front which has a grille similar to the Corvette Stingray Concept. The back has been completly reworked as well and just screams Italian. Yes, it’s the new craze. LED lights.

More than 750 strings of LED white Christmas lights were used to adorn the White House Christmas tree this year. Why? To be more energy efficient.

It’s a great alternative, yes, when it comes to saving our environment and money. However, just because LED lights illuminate the President’s holiday tree, doesn’t mean we should replace all lighting.

Some states have begun using LED traffic lights. Smart move?

Well, unfortunately, with all this cold snowy weather, the LED lights don’t produce the amount of excess heat that would normally melt the snow. Thus, car accidents and even a death have blamed due to these new wondrous LED lights.

So, moral of story, consider all factors before switching to the new trendy LED lights. What do you think about these lights? Are they really worth all the hype?

Zora Arkus-Duntov was born 100 years ago Christmas Day. Known affectionately by enthusiasts as the “Godfather of the Corvette”, he is credited with turning around the floundering program by upgrading the Corvette’s power and handling and masterfully creating a balance of performance and value that is still present today. Although he retired from GM in 1975 after 22 years of service, he never left the hearts of the community and was active until his passing in 1996. Today, his ashes and those of his wife Elfi are in a special memorial at the National Corvette Museum. [More]

The new, trimmed-down General Motors held a teaser party in the Motor City last week to show off some of its newest products leading up to next month’s North American International Auto Show.
