As we rolled through the Corvette Forum’s C8 section this morning, a post titled “Errrrrr Road Racing C8s Busted???” by one of the moderators caught our attention! According to the post, two C8 engineers were allegedly busted in Kentucky for street racing. The drivers were arrested and the cars were towed.

The final week of our “Best Corvettes from Each Decade” countdown is in the books and, one more time, we look to our readers to weigh in on how we did. It is hard to argue against the ’10s as the greatest decade of Corvette production (though the ’60s are also very hard to beat).

There seems to be a lot of stolen Corvettes in the news lately so make sure you are taking steps to secure your Corvette wherever you park it. Unfortunately, we have another case of a Corvette owner going into a store and coming back to find his ride was stolen in 60 seconds…
Police in Anderson, South Carolina are looking for a white 1980 Corvette with the license registration # IBN835 that was stolen Thursday from the Walmart parking lot on 28 Bypass in the city.

A contingent of the C8 Corvettes were recently spied at a Bowling Green establishment according to our friends in the area. We have several photos and a drive-by video of all the cars that include a couple Accelerate Yellow C8s, but our favorite from the group is definitely the Black C8 Coupe with the full-length silver stripes.

One of the criticisms we initially heard as the C8 Corvette was revealed is how mid-engine cars all look so similar. That may be true to the casual observer but we’ve come to appreciate how the various manufacturers can give their vehicles their own unique design philosophy that appears across their lineup.
We wondered a few days ago if the fabulous LT5 engine in the 2019 Corvette ZR1 would turn out to be a one-and-out for General Motors.
Its ultimate fate remains to be seen, but we just heard about another exciting use for the crate version of the LT5 that cranked out 755 horsepower and 715 lb-ft of torque in the C7 front-engine ZR1.
