We first told you about this “Corviper” last year, that odd mishmash of C4 Corvette and V1 Dodge Viper that showed up on Instagram around Halloween last year.
Quite appropriate timing for a Frankenstein kind of car, huh?
Now this “hybrid” sports car is up for sale again on Facebook Marketplace out of Ortonville, Michigan, for the same price as last fall – $8,000.
In a document that was “dropped in Hagerty Media’s editorial laps,” General Motors’ executive director in charge of program management, Michelle Braun issued a blanket order to suppliers that effectively pauses all future car and truck development in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This document is of particular interest around here as it tips off what GM has up their collective sleeve regarding the future of the mid-engine Corvette program.

Our friend Mike from Brink of Speed YouTube channel took his 2020 Corvette out to “the streets of Mexico” where he utilized the performance timers to do a number of quarter-mile runs. As Mike demonstrates, Corvette owners have never had it so good now that the engine is putting that extra weight over the rear tires.
Back in the day, General Motors wasn’t afraid to put out multiple versions of essentially the same vehicle across its lineup. Hence, the Pontiac Grand Prix, Chevy Monte Carlo, Buick Regal, and Olds Cutlass, along with the Chevy Camaro and Pontiac Firebird.
What if the General had allowed the Chevy Corvette to be morphed into an Olds or Pontiac version, too?

For today’s #WheelsWednesday post we turned to Instagram and came across this 2020 Corvette Stingray in Arctic White wearing a set of BBS CI-R wheels as outfitted by @all_in_one_auto in Ontario, Canada.
Once again we find ourselves falling all over a set of chromies which should lead to another spirited discussion about wheel choices in the comments section.

YouTuber Speed Phenom has another track video served up for fans as he takes his Torch Red 2020 Corvette Z51 Coupe back to Willow Springs for another open track date. Last time he was out on the track, he was putting down some great times as well as keeping us entertained as he followed a Porsche GT3 RS lap after lap.
There’s never a shortage of Corvettes up for grabs on eBay. Pick any generation and there’s a slew of options waiting for you. We recently happened upon this very early production C2 on the ‘bay and it could be yours.
According to the eBay ad this particular C2 was the 13th convertible built in a run of 25 preproduction cars.

Ah, the C8 Corvette, a bargain at $59,995, huh?
Unfortunately, for our friends in New Zealand, that basement-dwelling price is just a dream. For instance, a dealer in Hamilton, New Zealand, called 4Guys Autobarn, is asking a whopping $259,800 for a 2020 Corvette that’s in transit for arrival next month.

Our friend and Chevy representative serving customers in Canada is Morgan Crosbie of Finch Chevrolet in London, Ontario. Morgan is back with a new video on his Cars and Crosbie YouTube channel that tackles the current demographics of the C8 Corvette buyer and he asks the question on everyone’s mind, “Is the C8 Corvette attracting younger buyers?”
We know that the aging demographics of the Corvette buyer was one of the key factors for GM to create a mid-engine Corvette, and the early results are so far encouraging.
