Today, we hear – literally – about a new performance setup for the mid-engine Corvette that will reside underneath that skin, courtesy of Extreme Turbo Systems.

Check out this video to hear a preview of what a Torch Red 2020 Corvette Stingray sounds like with ETS’ first C8 system said to feature a pair of PT6870 turbochargers, PT46mm wastegates, and PTE 50mm blow-off valves supplied by Precision Turbo.

[SPIED] Three 2020 Corvettes Spotted on a Transporter in Florida

A reader sent us these two photos yesterday showing several 2020 Corvettes wrapped in their shipping covers and sitting on a transporter down in the Venice, Florida area. Since the Assembly Plant shut down on March 20th, most of the Corvettes that were previously built have been sent to dealers or to the transportation hubs where they will be transferred to rail cars for the ride out west.

Chevrolet dropped the news last week to dealers, but the accessories news was overlooked as we also received the dates for the start of 2020 Convertibles (July 20th) and the start of the 2021 model year (November 2020).

The odds are apparently in favor of the rental company when they hand over the key fob to one of their supercars to a stranger, or else they wouldn’t be in business very long.

Still, it had to hurt when Adventure Drivers founder Rob Ferretti heard the news that his Admiral Blue C7 Corvette Z06 convertible had been smashed up by a customer in a frontal collision over the Mother’s Day weekend.

The Corvette Assembly Plant Quietly Returns to the Business of Building 2020 Corvettes

Workers returned to the Corvette Assembly Plant in Bowling Green yesterday for the first time since the plant closed down on March 20th due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Initially billed as a two-week shutdown, the closure of the Bowling Green Assembly Plant lasted over two months.

There was little fanfare with the return as General Motors has been taking precautions in keeping workers safe through active monitoring and mandatory wearing of masks and safety goggles.

We’ve also seen multiple comparisons against a number of challengers in a stock C8 Corvette, and following its nitrous upgrade, the same Corvette made a top speed run of 205.1 MPH.

Back in November 2019, we finally got instructions on how to fix those pesky C6 Corvettes with Navigation whose clocks suddenly quit displaying the time. That update came from our friend and Corvette service expert Paul Koerner who is a GM World Class Technician at Key Chevrolet in Middletown, CT.

While we heard that many of you were able to fix your Navigation’s Clock with that update, some owners were unable to do so.
