We received good news regarding new Corvette sales via GM’s monthly sales report. GM posted 1,407 deliveries of new Corvettes last month, the highest amount since September 2008 and the fourth straight month of growth. Sales of Corvettes climbed 18.9% over March 2009’s figure of 1,183. During the month, the total inventory of Corvettes available fell 9.4% to a total of 6,416 units available nationwide. [More]

There is a lot of power in the 638-hp supercharged Corvette and while there are many technological features designed to keep you in control, sometimes shit happens that can be hard to do. While we don’t know the details of what happened to this Corvette ZR1, we did surmise the following:

Stile Bertone ZR-1Jason Castriota, a New York-born Italian automobile designer, has begun filming a mini-documentary (Project M) centered around what it entails to build a vehicle from start to finish. Kinetic Fin is producing the film “Mantide” which aims to compliment and address the stunning work and new era of Stile Bertone, an automotive styling studio located in Caprie, Italy.

Their vehicle of choice to build… Corvette ZR1!
