Reward Offered for Identifying the Thieves Who Broke Into a 2020 Corvette

The 2020 Corvette is a pretty brazen target for thieves to hit, but it didn’t stop these two “scumbags” in Houston from shattering the window of a Sebring Orange 2020 Corvette Stingray in Houston, Texas last week. Whether their goal was to steal the car or just do a smash and grab of the contents, they came up empty in the attempt.

GM Delays ‘Future Variant’ of the Chevrolet Corvette Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic

In a new report from The Detroit News on Monday comes the news that General Motors has directed suppliers to halt work until next year on several mid-cycle updates that were in the process for its trucks, SUVs and other vehicles which include the new mid-engine Corvette.

Here’s the key portion from the Detroit News:

GM is urging its suppliers to stop work on tooling and parts manufacturing ahead of the planned mid-cycle refresh of the light-duty Chevrolet Silverado, its top-selling vehicle, and GMC Sierra trucks, according to the note to suppliers which was confirmed by GM.

We got some good news from our friends at Spring Mountain and the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School. The official high peformance driving school of Corvette has released a schedule with the first available dates for the new C8 Corvette Owner’s School.

As a new C8 owner, you’ll receive a two-day school for $1,000 plus one free night of accommodations in Spring Mountain’s luxurious condos.

As the lug nuts are larger than those on the C7 Corvettes, the new torque specification for the 2020 Corvette’s lug nuts is now 140 lb ft.

Corvette for Sale: Immaculate 1978 IMSA SuperVette Restored to Concours Condition

One of the most powerful IMSA Corvette race cars of the late ‘70s and early ‘80s has been painstakingly restored to Concours condition by a California company named Canepa.

And now this 1977 IMSA “SuperVette” is up for sale, with no price listed on Canepa’s website, but obviously it will take a lot of money to buy this piece of Corvette history.
