According to an Instagram post by 1320video, some enterprising individual has taken the inner workings of a C4 Corvette, including the gee-whiz, space-age instrument panel, and surrounded it with the yellow body of a first-generation Viper.

We’ve been talking about the possibility of a ‘hybrid’ C8 Corvette ever since the mid-engine Corvettes hit the road, but things got interesting back in September when an enthusiast came across a group of prototypes testing at 10,000 feet in Colorado. The prototypes were still wrapped in camouflage despite the car being revealed over a month previously, and more importantly, what the heck are those connectors and switches protruding from the car’s bodywork?

The 115th World Series went down to the seventh game and in the end the Washington Nationals would beat the Houston Astros to take home baseball’s championship.
Chevrolet was the official sponsor of the MVP award and this year it went to Washington National’s Pitcher Stephen Strasburg. GM’s Brian Sweeney would ceremonially hand him the keys as the car will be built in early 2020.

We can’t get enough of the 2020 Corvette Stingray and thankfully the auto mags are there to keep feeding our addiction as we go through this quiet period before production starts up in early 2020.
We followed the Road and Track crew as they tested the new Corvette at Thunderhill Raceway and especially Matt Farah’s very fun and informative One Take video in the car.

On the heels of last night’s video of a ‘Hybrid’ C8 Corvette spotted driving near the GM Proving Grounds, we came across this posting of 10 images of a parked ‘Hybrid’ C8 Corvette in Ann Arbor as originally captured by @mleighto31. He does a nice walk-around capturing the car from all sides and showing these various connections and switches that protrude through the Corvette’s bodywork.

I’m a sucker for Corvette Pace Cars (and Corvette Special Editions in general) so it’s no surprise to us that we are featuring Dana and Dave’s 2015 Corvette on RIDES.
Their Laguna Blue 2015 Corvette Pace Car is customized with the graphics package worn by the 2014 Corvette Stingray that paced the 97th running of the Indianapolis 500 in May 2013.
We’ve speculated for years about the possibility of the Corvette brand expanding to include an upscale SUV, the way some automakers have already done and others are rumored to be considering.
Now comes word about a Corvette SUV from the top of the food chain at General Motors … sort of.
