[INFOGRAPHIC] The History of Corvette Horsepower

Thanks to NewGMParts.com, we have an interesting infographic to share which shows sixty-three years of Corvette Horsepower. The infographic is a great tool to visually see how horsepower in Corvettes has evolved over the year. The moment Zora Arkus-Duntov stuffed a 195-hp V8 in the 1955 Corvette, he started a nearly 15 year growth in Corvette’s power. Then came the 70’s where the oil embargo, EPA emmissions requirements and a lack of focus created Corvette’s

Photo Credit: Oliver Gavin/Twitter Today was a fun day for Corvette Racing driver Oliver Gavin. This morning he sent out a cryptic tweet suggesting something special was on the way. And when that special something finally arrived, even the rainy weather in the Englishman’s home town of Yardley Hastings couldn’t dampen his spirits when he saw his Arctic White Corvette Stingray Z51 for the first time. We are not sure of the ownership status of

Corvette Police Cars (34 Corvette photos)

How do you make any year or model of Corvette even more bad-ass than they already are? Put them in the hands of Johnny Law! Corvettes have a long history of being used by police departments everywhere from DARE anti-drug show cars to being used as pursuit vehicles. The First Available 1984 Corvette to be Offered at Mecum Monterey

Now that the C5, C6, and C7 are here, some people don’t have as much respect for the C4. But back in the day, those of us old enough can remember what a significant change the 1984 Corvette represented over the C3. Having owned a 1980 L48 Corvette as my first Corvette, my second was a new 1986 model from Tom Jumper Chevrolet, and I can still remember taking my friends for a ride –

Corvette Beats Porsche to Win J.D. Power’s 2015 APEAL Study

My brief five minutes behind the wheel of a seven-speed Torch Red Z51 Coupe made me an instant believer in all the hoopla about Chevrolet’s latest generation of America’s Sports Car. Going from the first year of the fifth generation to the first year of the seventh generation in one day showed me just how much the car has been improved, not that the C5 is a bad car by any means, though.
