Matt Farah was one of the first auto journalists and reviewers to drive the 2020 Corvette when he offered up his first ‘One Take’ video back on October 2019. Driving hot laps at Willow Springs, Matt was blown away with the new mid-engine Corvette and there was no denying the excitement he expressed as he ran his laps as part of the judging for Road and Track’s 2020 Performance Car of the Year.
Usually when we bring you a story from bringatrailer.com, we’re telling you about a classic Corvette like a ’58, ’67, or a 1969 Stingray.
Today, though, we found the first brand new C8 to be offered by Bring A Trailer.
This Arctic White over Adrenaline Red Stingray comes nicely equipped with the 3LT and Z51 packages but surprisingly is still one of the cheaper high-end 2020 Corvettes we’ve seen with an MSRP of “just” $83,725.

The arrival of the 8th generation Corvette ushered in the era of the mid-engine Corvette and with it came the ability to further personalize the cars. The new paint shop inside the Corvette Assembly Plant unlocked two additional exterior choices for buyers, bringing up the total choices to 12 colors.

The Coronavirus outbreak hasn’t slowed Mecum’s quest to bring the best collector cars to market. Recently, they announced the addition of the winningest 1967 L88 racer in history to their Indianapolis docket. The 6-day event will now take place June 23-28 at the Indianapolis State Fairgrounds.
When it comes to collectible Corvettes, there’s not much higher on the Corvette food chain than the 1967 L88.

I was a bit despondent over the weekend as during the six weeks of the Coronavirus lockdown, I have yet to learn a foreign language, landscape the back yard, or rid my closet of old Corvette Racing t-shirts.

For those adventurous owners whose need for speed has them engaging in track activities, the 2020 Corvette Stingray Z51 Coupe is a great track car complete with upgraded cooling, suspension, and brakes, as well as the sticky Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 summer tires. Chevrolet says if regular track days are your thing, the Z51 Stingray is the car you want.
