We aren’t sure if the unprecedented external factors are the culprit or if it is pure coincidence but anyone thinking about adding a 1996 Grand Sport to their garage is spoilt for choice right now. Across the many online automotive marketplaces that we check daily, there are as many as 20 examples of the C4 Corvette’s swansong available.
We got a few pics in this evening from national Corvette seller Mike Furman of Criswell Chevrolet. Mike says this is the dealership’s last brand new C7 Corvette in stock – a 2019 Corvette Grand Sport in Arctic White. When this car leaves the dealership, it will close the chapter on the C7 Corvette generation.

C7 Corvette owners know that the biggest source of paint damage to the cars comes when the sticky Michelin performance tires pick up rocks and other debris and launches them towards the rear of the vehicle. We told you a couple weeks back about retired NFL quarterback Eli Manning offering up the 2011 Corvette Grand Sport for the ALL IN Challenge, a fundraiser for Coronavirus relief efforts which consisting of unique prizes and experiences offered up by celebs, musicians, and professional athletes.
Manning was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of Super Bowl XLVI after defeating the New England Patriots 21-17 in February 2012 and he was awarded the C6 Corvette from Chevrolet.
In a document that was “dropped in Hagerty Media’s editorial laps,” General Motors’ executive director in charge of program management, Michelle Braun issued a blanket order to suppliers that effectively pauses all future car and truck development in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This document is of particular interest around here as it tips off what GM has up their collective sleeve regarding the future of the mid-engine Corvette program.

Retired Giants Quarterback Eli Manning is joining the Celebrity ALL IN Challenge which offers thrilling experiences for auction with the proceeds going to Coronavirus relief efforts.
The two-time Super Bowl MVP is offering up a 2011 Corvette Grand Sport Convertible he received after defeating the New England Patriots 21-17 in Super Bowl XLVI at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis in 2012.

It’s been reported for years that some owners are experiencing problems with their wheels cracking on C7 Z06s and Grand Sports.
A Pennsylvania law firm is asking affected owners to contact them to take part in a class-action lawsuit against General Motors.
Kehoe Law Firm, P.C., says the class action has been filed in United States District Court, Northern District of California on behalf of owners of 2015-2019 Corvette Z06s and 2017-19 Grand Sports.
The last C7 ever produced – a black Z06 coupe – sold at auction last summer to a collector named Daniel Snyder for a cool $2.7 million.
The first customer C8 to be built, hopefully sometime this week, just went for $3 million to enthusiast/dealer Rick Hendrick.
Big bucks, for sure.

We’ve been following the exploits of the Genovation team since they first started electrifying Corvettes starting with a C6 Z06 back in 2015. The company then moved on to utilizing the C7 Grand Sport that drops the LT1 V8 in favor of their “Internal Permanent Magnet Dual Stack Motor” which makes a whopping 800 hp and 718 lb-ft of torque.

That’s the thinking behind the addition of a 460-horsepower C7 Corvette Grand Sport to the lineup of first-response vehicles operated by Dubai Ambulance.
The speedy Corvettes “are meant to reach the emergency scene first before the ambulance, in order to aid the accident and to save what can be saved until the ambulance arrives,” according to Zulekha Hospital, a major medical center in the Dubai area.
