IMSA president John Doonan held a conference call on Wednesday and according to Racer.com he said: “We are still focused on going racing at Watkins Glen at the end of June.” That race is Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen scheduled for June 25-28th.
The new IMSA president also addressed several other issues noting that the event schedule for 2020 was likely to be shortened as a cost-saving measure for teams.

IMSA is fully onboard with iRacing simulated racing during the Coronavirus lockdown and the series has announced the forming of their iRacing Pro Series 2020 Schedule that will feature a total of six rounds through June 11th.
Round 1 was held at Sebring on March 21st and the second stop on the schedule comes today at WeatherTech Raceway at Laguna Seca with the racing action beginning at 6pm.

One of the most powerful IMSA Corvette race cars of the late ‘70s and early ‘80s has been painstakingly restored to Concours condition by a California company named Canepa.
And now this 1977 IMSA “SuperVette” is up for sale, with no price listed on Canepa’s website, but obviously it will take a lot of money to buy this piece of Corvette history.

Corvette Racing fans should be cautiously optimistic as IMSA makes adjustments to the 2020 racing calendar in the expectation that racing will resume in the second half of the year.
The revised calendar features new dates for the stops at Mid-Ohio, Laguna Seca, and Petit Le Mans, while also taking into consideration the new September date for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
