If you thought you might be better off leasing a new mid-engine Corvette instead of buying one, think again.
At least that’s the opinion of CarsDirect.
They’ve crunched the numbers and claim that a 36-month lease for a 1LT 2020 Corvette Stingray will be roughly $890 a month based on a 10,000 mile per year lease with no money down and a 63 percent residual rate.

We know from recent spy photos that the Corvette Team is benchmarking the C8 Corvette Z06 model against both the Porsche 911 GT2 RS and a Ferrari 458 Italia. These two sportscars were confirmed by Corvette Chief Engineer Ed Piatek as purchased by General Motors for benchmarking in the C8 Corvette review from our friends at The Fast Lane Car (TFL).

As a member of various C8 Corvette groups on Facebook and elsewhere, we are heartened by the level of excitement that the new Corvette generates, especially among owners of classic Corvettes. We caught this Facebook post on the C8 Corvette Owners (and Friends) and definitely wanted to share it.

Corvette Racing will be headed back to France for the 88th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The new mid-engine C8.Rs will make their international racing debut as the team marks its 21st consecutive appearance at the Summer Classic.
The Corvette C8.Rs will be racing under the FIA WEC specs with two entries in the LMGTE-Pro class.

We are back for another week of Corvette fun and there’s no better way than to share a bevy of C2 photos showcasing our favorite generation of Corvettes. But before we get to this week’s photos, I wanted to make you aware of Kerbeck’s Online Corvette show.
The good news is that there’s so much buzz about the new mid-engine Corvette that will be hitting dealerships in the next few weeks.
The bad news is that the 2020 Stingray finished second behind a Ford of all things – the new Bronco – as the upcoming vehicle with the most searches on Google after an extensive evaluation of data since Jan.

If you don’t want to take your shiny new C8 through the mud, fear not.
You can still get your dirty off-road fix at the National Corvette Museum’s Motorsports Park, just a little slower than 0 to 60 in less than three seconds.
According to an article this week in the Bowling Green Daily News, the Motorsports Park is planning to go after a whole new audience with its forthcoming Overland Course.

The Corvette_Nut has scored again when it comes to sharing interesting photos of the new mid-engine Chevrolet Corvette. With these photos, I dare say Mr. Nut has scored a trifecta: A Rapid Blue 2020 Stingray Convertible with a High Wing and the now rare Ground Effects package featuring the splitter and side rockers.

It was rumored that the 2020 Corvette Stingrays were going to be shipping on Friday, but that obviously didn’t happen when it came time to make the decision. Now we are hearing that drivers will be reporting to the plant on Monday, but again, that hasn’t been confirmed either.
Our friend Rick ‘Corvette’ Conti sent us this link to a traffic cam in Bowling Green that monitors the intersection where the Corvette transporters leave the plant and head to nearby I65.
