The Pennsylvania Department of Health filed a lawsuit against Carlisle Events on Wednesday, the opening day of Spring Carlisle automotive swap market, over concerns that the event is a “public health threat” that risks the spread of COVID-19. The lawsuit seeks an immediate injunction to require Carlisle Events to comply with the current 250-person limit for events as Pennsylvania begins its reopening.

We’ve previously shared with you some of the backstory about this 1967 Corvette L88 Racer that will be offered by Mecum at their Indianapolis auction on July 10-18 at the Indianapolis State Fairgrounds.
This car is the real deal with racing credentials, owner history, and documentation all accounted for.
The IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship Series will be returning to action on Saturday, July 4th at Daytona International Speedway with the running of the ISMA WeatherTech 240.
The race will take place on Daytona’s 3.56-mile high-banked tri-oval/infield road course with the Green Flag dropping at 6:05 pm for the two hours and 40-minute race.

CORSA Performance is jumping into the C8 Corvette aftermarket with their first exhaust system for the mid-engine Corvette coming soon. However, we do have an important clue to share about the new CORSA systems thanks to the company’s Instagram account.
CORSA Performance has long been one of the leaders in the Corvette exhaust system aftermarket and if the past is any indicator, we can probably expect several levels of CORSA exhaust systems available for the C8 as time goes on.

More good news coming out of the Bowling Green Assembly Plant!
This week we’ve already been blessed with the news that new shipments of the 2020 Corvettes are on their way to dealerships and now we received some really great news on production totals.
This morning we learned that the Corvette Assembly Plant had built 94 Corvettes on Tuesday, the most in one day since the resumption of production on May 26th following a two-month layoff due to the Coronavirus.

One of the options on the 2020 Corvette Stingray that had everyone excited was the E60 Front End Lift System which allows owners to raise the front nose of the car by two inches in under three seconds at speeds of up to 24 mph. For those who have ever dinged a carbon fiber front splitter, this option sounded like the perfect way to protect the front fascia and splitter from steep driveways or speedbumps.

We’ve said it before and we’ll probably say it again: The new C8 is one car just begging to be customized in a thousand different ways through the aftermarket by each owner.
Along those lines, two very creative minds have joined forces for yet another widebody design for the C8 Corvette and just unveiled their efforts in several renderings on Instagram a couple of days ago.

Fans of Chip Foose and the TV show Overhaulin will enjoy this new video of Chip and his team working on a custom 1962 Corvette. I’ve always enjoyed watching Chip in action and his attention to detail and ability to describe his vision ahead of the build always amazes me.
For this 1962 Corvette project, the car is given the widebody treatment and will soon ride on an Art Morrison chassis.
