Bloomington Gold Adds Corvette Resto Mod Judging Class

Bloomington Gold late last week announced an exciting addition to their judging portfolio. Beginning this year at their Indianapolis event, they’ll be judging Restomod Corvettes in addition to factory correct restorations and unrestored originals. It’s no secret that Restomods are one of the fastest-growing corners of the Corvette hobby so it just makes sense that Bloomington Gold would embrace this trend.

Another victim of the Covid-19 pandemic has found a new home on the calendar. The Corvette Indianapolis 500 Pace Car Homecoming will now be held August 14th – 16th. The event will now take place alongside the rescheduled Indianapolis 500 qualifying weekend. Friday, August 14th is “Fast Friday” and the 15th and 16th mark qualifying days for the greatest spectacle in racing.
Bloomington Gold Indy will be Held September 11th-12th at Lucas Oil Stadium
It’s been a few weeks now since we first learned that the Coronavirus pandemic was pushing Bloomington Gold’s Indianapolis event from its traditional late June timeslot to September 11th and 12th. During that announcement, they hinted at a new indoor venue in the Indianapolis region.
Yesterday, just like an episode of Scooby Doo, they removed the mask from the new location to reveal Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis.

Last week we received word that Bloomington Gold was moving their 2020 Indianapolis event to September 11th and 12th due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Along with that news, they stated that the show would be moving to a new indoor venue. An announcement on that undisclosed location is imminent, but how about some conjecture and wild speculation in the meantime?

A few weeks back we learned that Bloomington Gold would be postponing their annual Indianapolis event due to the ongoing Coronavirus concerns. Now they’ve announced where the 2020 event will land on the calendar. Mark down Friday, September 11th and Saturday, September 12th for the granddaddy of Corvette shows.
The National Corvette Museum is Hosting an Online Corvette Show Starting April 6th

What do you do when its springtime and all the car shows are canceled? You have a car show online, of course! While the National Corvette Museum is closed to the public, they’ve come up with yet another creative fundraiser to help fund the museum.

Two of our hobby’s biggest events have recently come together to highlight some of the top Corvettes out there. The Corvettes at Carlisle team announced earlier this week that they’ve partnered with Bloomington Gold for this year’s Chip’s Choice display. The theme will be Benchmark – The Best of Bloomington Gold.
