As the roll-out of the all-new 2020 Corvette Stingray marches on, we know many who were concerned about buying the redesigned sportscar in its first year. So it’s comforting to see that Chevrolet ranked third overall in brands and GM was the top automotive company in J.D. Power’s 2020 Initial Quality Study.

After being neglected in a junkyard for nearly 50 years after traveling just 59,000 miles, one of the rarest 1963 Corvettes of them all is finally on its way back.
According to musclecarsandtrucks.com, who found this Z06 on an Instagram account for Rotting Classics, the 57-year-old Stingray is already in the process of being restored by the new owner.
If all goes well in the next few weeks, we should see the first customer-ordered 2020 Corvette Convertibles starting down the production line at the Corvette Assembly Plant in Bowling Green.
This week we have heard from more than a couple of Hard Top Convertible (HTC) customers who told us they have received their Target Production Week (TPW) notifications.

Chevy’s designers on the C8 Corvette will tell you that they found much inspiration for the mid-engine’s design from our military’s fighter jets. The interior of the car is oriented around the driver much like that of a pilot and even the frunk’s zig-zag panel design reminds us of a stealth bomber.

About the only thing better than checking out vintage photos of Corvettes is hearing a great backstory to go with them. The designer, who worked nearly 40 years at General Motors, retired as head of design staff at the GM Tech Center in 1983, but not before he had bought a 1969 Corvette brand new on Oct.
