One of my longtime heroes in the Corvette hobby is Reeves Callaway of Callaway Cars. Back in the late 1980s, Reeves first popped up my radar after his 1988 Callaway Corvette Sledgehammer ran 254 miles per hour at the Transportation Research Center in Ohio. Around the same time, his C4 Callaway Corvette B2K Twin Turbos were being sold through select Chevrolet dealers.
Chevrolet made more 1966 Corvettes than any year during the second generation’s run from 1963 to 1967.
For the first time, production exceeded 25,000, with a total of 27,720 Corvettes leaving the St. Louis factory, including 17,762 convertibles and 9,958 coupes.
One of those convertibles has managed to survive the past 54 years, and it’s currently up for sale on eBay.
Back in the day when Malcolm Konner Chevrolet was the world’s largest Corvette dealership, they did so much business that Chevrolet often sent engineers and other service reps to the New Jersey dealership where they could see in real-time any technical problems related to new Corvettes that were sold, as well as identifying any underlining problems with previous models.

Before the 2020 Corvette Stingray was revealed last summer in California, the hottest car in the market was the return of the 2020 Toyota Supra, which brought back the iconic model that had been discontinued in the USA since 1998.
Then the mid-engine Corvette showed up and sucked the wind from Toyota’s sails (sales?).

Corvette Racing Legend and Chevrolet Ambassador Ron Fellows was joined by his two sons Sam and Patrick at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park for some hot laps with an Accelerate Yellow 2020 Corvette Stingray. While the boys filmed the action, dad was doing what he does best…driving a Corvette fast!
Ron describes the new mid-engine Corvette as “an absolute work of art” and says it matches up to the competition that costs two and three times the price.
Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvettes to his customers who come from all across the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.
Mike offers a historical perspective to the current situation as it’s not the first time that dealerships have not had new Corvettes to sell, but these times will be changing soon as everything comes back up to speed.

You can have all the money in the world, but that doesn’t mean you have good taste. I’ve always said that a new Corvette is a blank canvas that allows the owner to customize to their rides to their heart’s content.

New spy photos from Brian Williams (Spiedbilde) were offered up today and I had to have them as they not only show the C8 Corvette Z06 coupe and convertible out on public roads, but for the first time, we are seeing a center-mounted exhaust on the mid-engine sportscar.
