The control valve body is on the bottom of the Tremec DCT and has an aluminum cover. This cover, along with the valve body, can be damaged if the weight of the unit is placed upon it. DT-52660 supports the DCT at the correct mounting locations to support the unit without damage to the cover or control valve body. Once the transmission is removed from the vehicle, the replacement transmission is moved from the shipping container and placed onto DT-52660.
The original transmission can then be removed from the lift table and placed into the shipping container. The new transmission can then be removed from DT-52660 and placed onto the lift table for installation into the vehicle. Failure to use DT-52660 may damage the control valve body cover or the control valve body itself.
