Wilwood Engineering produces over 120 different types of high performance rotors designed specifically for racing applications. Although a rotor's basic function is to disperse energy (in the form of heat) created by the brake pads clamping onto the rapidly rotating rotor, how well a rotor performs this job under the extremes of racing is why Wilwood rotors are considered the best in the industry.
This ProMatrix track rotor kit was developed for competition as a direct replacement for the 12.8” diameter front rotors found on all 1997-2004 C5 models, and all 2005-2013 C6 base model Corvettes. GT-48 directional vane Spec37 race alloy rotors are mounted to the OE hubs with lightweight forged aluminum hats to deliver maximum thermal stability, cooling efficiency, and durability in sustained high heat braking cycles. Use these rotors for all types of auto-cross or road course competition where race compound pads are being used in the OE calipers, or with any aftermarket caliper kit made for use with the OE dimension rotors. Wilwood also offers three pad compounds for use in the OE calipers covering all types of vehicles from dual-sport street and track prepped cars, to dedicated race-only applications. Brake pads must be ordered separately.
