This is the exact timing chain used on the Corvette Racing C5R, C6R and C7R race cars from 1997-present in the ALMS and now United Sportscar series.The Katech C5-R race chain gets proprietary features over the standard IWIS aftermarket LS chain which includes "fine blanked plates" and a proprietary pin coating.
This is the only chain you'll ever need, and since it fits over production sprockets its a direct replacement with no worries of clearance to your oil pump.
Replace your factory chain with this upgraded version when doing camshaft installations or other modifications where the chain is easily accessed, especially on higher mileage engines.
