Katech LT4 Track Day Camshaft
Katech Engineering has been in the racing industry since 1977 and knows that the key to a winning engine is the camshaft. Not only do our camshaft packages make great power, but the durability on them is second to none. What makes our camshafts so great is our ability to analyze the valve while it is in motion on our Optron spin cell. This is a claim that few people in the industry can make, especially since we were one of the first companies to use this technology. With our involvement in the C5-R race program, we can safely claim that there has never once been a failure due to insufficient valvetrain design. What this means is you will get the most durable, highest revving cam package that is on the market today. You can also be assured that every aspect of the camshaft has been designed for great power and superb driveability. The LT4 Track Day cam is designed for max effort LT4/LT5 engines with TVS2650 or larger superchargers. This cam also works well with larger cubic inch engines such as 416ci and 427ci. This cam works with the stock torque converter but is at the limit of what we deem acceptable. This is our go-to camshaft for builds approaching and exceeding 1,000RWHP. Suggested Valvetrain: PSI1516 Valve Springs, Johnson 2116-K Linkbar or 2110-K Drop in Lifters, Katech Locators, Katech H13 Tool Steel or Titanium Retainers Cam Specs: 233 / 250 @ .050, . 649/ .658 lift, 119+4 LSA, 38% fuel lobe Applications: C7 Z06/ZR1, G6 Camaro ZL1, or LT1/LT4 with TVS2650, F1A-94, or larger superchargers. Full VVT lockout or delete recommended.
