Application: 2016-newer Buick Enclave and LaCrosse, Cadillac XT5 and XTS, Chevrolet Colorado and Traverse, GMC Acadia and Canyon with 3.6L V6 engines (RPOs LFW, LGX, LGZ)
Engine support is required when servicing the cradle or transmission, but due to the position of the engine in relation to the front of dash, it is difficult to attach the correct mounting adapters to HF V6 engines in some models.
EN-52499 consists of two different length rod assemblies, depending on the length of the intake manifold bolt by each engine application. Two rod assemblies from EN-52499 are installed in place of the intake manifold bolts into the intake manifold as directed by published service information, and the included hook eyes are installed at the end of the rod assemblies and hand tightened to the rods assemblies. This allows the use of engine support hooks from either J-28467-B or EN-51007 engine support fixture.
EN-52499 must NOT be used to attach the lifting devise to remove the engine. EN-52499 is only to be used to support the engine in the vehicle during mount or cradle service.
